We Can’t Stay Silent — We Need You

Every year, the Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) serves more than 2,500 survivors and their families through our Support & Resource Line, in-person accompaniment advocacy, counseling, group services, and housing advocacy. We also reach thousands more community members through education, outreach, and prevention work.

On August 14, 2025, for the first time in our 48-year history, we were forced to pause all services due to severe funding cuts and ongoing uncertainties at the federal and state levels.

This means:

Our 24-hour Support Line is quiet.

Advocates are not beside survivors at hospitals or during police interviews.

Counseling, group services, housing advocacy, prevention, and outreach are on hold.

Silence is dangerous. Survivors deserve someone to listen, believe, and support them through the most difficult moments of their lives.

We can’t stay silent — and we can’t reopen without you.

Our Goal: Close a $150,000 Budget Gap

We must raise $150,000 to restore SARC’s essential survivor services and community programs. This is the amount needed to close the urgent budget gap created by recent federal and state funding cuts and uncertainties and bring our programs back to life.

Your Gift Will Make an Immediate Impact

Here’s how your donation can help close the gap:

  • $50 – Provides 2 hours of crisis line coverage for survivors in need of immediate emotional support
  • $100 – Covers one night of emergency on-call hospital accompaniment
  • $250 – Restores a full day of Support Line coverage for survivors in crisis
  • $400 – Pays for one Advocate to attend a 40+ hour certification training, equipping them to help hundreds of survivors afterwards
  • $500 – Reinstates a support group session for survivors healing together
  • $1,000 – Funds a week of housing advocacy for survivors facing homelessness
  • $5,000 – Brings back an advocate position for a full month

Take Action Now

Every day we remain closed is a day a survivor may face trauma alone. With your help, we can close the $150,000 gap, restore these vital services, and ensure no survivor is left without support.
