Our 24-hour Support Line will be available, and staff who are scheduled to be in the office today will be checking voicemails and e-mails.
For the next week, SARC will be partially closed. Please note the following information because many of our services will still be available.

SARC’s business office will be closed from Thursday, December 24th – Sunday, January 3rd.
We reopen on Monday, January 4th.
Staff will be working from home, and checking voicemails and e-mails December 28th, 29th, and 30th, however some staff members will be out of town and unavailable by phone or e-mail until they return.
Some support groups will still be offered, please check with your support group facilitator if you are not sure if your group will be meeting during the break.

Our holiday volunteer meeting was full of laughter, fun, food, games, and crafting! We are so grateful to for each and every one of our rock star volunteers whose kindness, compassion, and commitment to social justice not only fill our hearts with joy, but enables SARC to provide support and resources to survivors of sexual assault and exploitation, as well as survivors’ families, friends and community partners, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. THANK YOU!!
Thanks to IStandForLove and the LifeIsBeautiful calendar matching weekend, 300 inspirational calendars were donated to SARC! We will be spreading the love throughout our community by sharing these calendars with those we serve as well as our amazing volunteers who make it all possible. Portland’s SHADES community is having a fundraiser for SARC with Portland based DJ Anjali! A no cover dance party! Come on down to Dig a Pony on SE Grand, Friday, 11/20, and support local artists, businesses, and non-profits.
We would love to have more volunteers trained to support us on our hotline. If you are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual assault and trafficking or no someone who might be please spread the word and get connected!
We had another great volunteer appreciation event this year. SARC volunteers donate thousands of hours of advocacy, community outreach, event planning, and office assistance to our organization each year. In 2014 alone, our advocates provided over 15,000 hours of service, offered in-person support to 124 violence survivors, and took nearly 2,000 calls on our support line – a truly incredible gift to our community. A million thanks to all of the businesses and community partners who have helped us to support and celebrate their commitment to this work.
